Ronaldo Makes the Move to AC Milan

1 02 2007

Ronaldo, the 30 year old Brazilian striker, has left Real Madrid and will be moving to AC Milan for $9.73 million until 2008. He will start in Ricardo Oliveiras position up front with Kaka. Oliveira will be going to Madrid on loan.

I’m not sure what AC Milan hopes to get out of this but Ronaldo is obviously not the player he once was. He hasn’t even played with Madrid since January 7th, and now he will be thrown into the mix of things over in Milan. He may fit in well with Kaka, a fellow Brazilian, on the attacking end. Either way, it should be a nice change for him.

Milan hasn’t performed as well as they usually do, partially because of a 15 point deduction at the start of the season due to being found guilty in the match fixing scandal in the Italian Serie A. Maybe Ronaldo will be able to grab some late winners for them before the end of the season.
